Our Partnership with Soccer Mates
At Indigo ELC, we are proud to not only partner with but also be the founders of Soccer Mates—a highly regarded school readiness and early years sports program. We believe our advocacy for children and families extends beyond our Indigo walls, which is why this program is open to the wider community.
By welcoming children from both Indigo and the broader community, Soccer Mates creates a unique opportunity for children to build friendships with peers who will be attending the same local primary schools. This means children begin forming meaningful connections with other children—and their families—in the year before they start school, easing their transition into formal education.
Led in small groups by our own trusted educators, including a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with a degree in Sports Management, Soccer Mates blends fun and movement with intentional learning outcomes. Children aged 1–5 years develop not only soccer skills like coordination, balance, and ball control, but also essential life skills such as teamwork, resilience, and confidence.
Through Soccer Mates, we’re laying the foundations for strong bodies, confident minds, and connected communities—helping children step into school with a sense of readiness, belonging, and joy.
