Our Partnership with girri girra
At Indigo ELC, we are proud to partner with Girri Girra Aboriginal Experiences, an Aboriginal-owned business dedicated to sharing culture, knowledge, and connection to Country. This partnership is an important part of our commitment to embedding First Nations perspectives into our programs and honouring the deep cultural history of the land on which we live and learn.
Through regular incursions at our centres and occasional meet-ups on Country as part of our Indigo Wild Adventures program, Girri Girra provides children with meaningful opportunities to connect with Aboriginal culture in authentic and engaging ways. Children are introduced to Dreaming stories, songs, dance, art, and knowledge of the natural environment, deepening their respect for the world around them and the First Peoples who have cared for it for tens of thousands of years.
This partnership not only enriches our educational programs but also supports our vision of raising Happy, Healthy, Whole children who grow up with empathy, respect, and an understanding of cultural diversity. By learning directly from Aboriginal custodians of culture, our children, families, and educators are invited into a journey of reconciliation, connection, and lifelong learning.
Though still in its infancy, we know 2026 will be a year of significant growth as Girri Girra continues to expand its reach and impact. Through this initiative, Indigo is proud to share our expertise, empower others, and help raise the standard of early childhood education across the nation.
