A coastal haven for little explorers and dreamers
Nestled on the beautiful NSW Central Coast, Indigo Forresters Beach was the very first Indigo service. This vibrant centre has become a trusted part of the local community, known for its nature-inspired learning spaces and award-winning programs. We provide long day care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with a strong focus on early learning foundations, sustainability, and a deep connection to the natural world.

At our flagship Indigo centre, the facilities are designed to reflect both our coastal setting and our commitment to play, learning, and community connection. With oversized classrooms and play spaces double the usual size, Forresters Beach offers children an environment where possibilities feel limitless. Children are surrounded by space, nature, and opportunity—a true coastal haven for learning, discovery, and community spirit.

Purpose-built for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, each room is oversized and filled with natural light, encouraging belonging, independence, and play.

A beautiful space just for our youngest learners, with real grass, trees, sand, and age-appropriate exploration opportunities.

Our oversized yards include multiple water-pump riverbeds, sandpits, and natural climbing areas designed to challenge gross motor skills through running, jumping, and climbing. Flexible indoor/outdoor play is encouraged across the day.

Children help grow fresh produce, care for our chickens, and harvest eggs—developing responsibility, sustainability knowledge, and joy in farm-to-table learning.

All meals are prepared fresh daily by our in-house cook, ensuring children enjoy wholesome, nutritious food.

Right next door to the Forries Gym, we conduct swimming lessons onsite and occasionally use their gym spaces for our Soccer Mates and sports programs.

Our centre also boasts its own multi-purpose sports court for active play and skill development.

Families and the broader community can access fresh produce, eggs from our chickens, clothing, nappies, and other essentials.

As part of our Indigo Wild Adventures program, children also visit the Bateau Bay Community Garden weekly, helping to maintain and care for this thriving space. This partnership teaches children about sustainability, contribution, and the power of community.

We are proud to partner with Girri Girra, who deliver regular incursions at our centre and occasionally guide us on land as part of our Indigo Wild program. These experiences enrich children’s understanding of Aboriginal culture, connection to Country, and respect for the world around them.

Our Educator Team at Forresters Beach
At Indigo ELC Forresters Beach, our team of passionate educators are at the heart of everything we do. Led by our dedicated Centre Director, our educators bring together a wealth of knowledge, qualifications, and experience to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
We pride ourselves on our longstanding, stable team—many of our educators have been with Indigo for years, building strong, trusting relationships with families and children alike. Each educator brings their own unique strengths, from nature play and sports to creative arts and wellbeing, ensuring that our program is rich, varied, and engaging.
As a team, we share a collective philosophy of Happy, Healthy, Whole—supporting children not only in their academic learning but also in their emotional wellbeing, resilience, and sense of belonging. Together, we create a true “home away from home” for children, where play, discovery, and community connection shape each day.
